Illinois vs. UNLV Line

The Illinois vs. UNLV line was coming in at -2.5 with the Rebels favored and getting around 65 percent of the backing on the spread.  The 132.5 total was getting over 90 percent on the UNDER.  All odds courtesy of BetUS.com

There aren’t a whole lot of trends that give either team much of an edge where the sports bettor is concerned.

The Fighting Illini are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.

The Fighting Illini are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 neutral site games.

Elsewhere, the Boston U vs. Kansas line was coming in at -22.5 for the number-one seeded Jayhawks.  The line hasn’t moved much though we are seeing a few books listing Kansas at -23.

There are some strong stats that favor Boston U covering the spread in this game.

The Terriers are 6-1 Against The Spread in their last 7 games following a Straight Up win.  They are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games as an underdog.  The Terriers are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 neutral site games.  They are 17-5-1 ATS in their last 23 non-conference games.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
