The Atlanta Hawks finish their season-high, seven-game road trip on Monday when they take on the new-look Denver Nuggets. This is the first meeting this season between these two teams, who have split their season series in each of the past five seasons.

The Hawks improved to 2-0 since acquiring Kirk Hinrich and Hilton Armstrong in separate trade-deadline deals, defeating the Blazers 90-83 Sunday night in Portland. Atlanta is 27-32 ATS this season, but has won its past two ATS. Joe Johnson scored 22 points on Sunday, connecting on 9-of-16 shot attempts. He had averaged just 11.5 PPG on 39.8% FG his previous seven games. After averaging just 8.5 PPG on 34.7 percent shooting from the field in his previous eight games, Jamal Crawford led the Hawks with 23 points on Sunday. Crawford enjoys seeing Denver on the schedule, averaging 26.0 PPG while making 54.3% FG and 40.0% of his three-point attempts in his past four games against them.

The post-Carmelo era has started well for Denver who was on its way to a 3-0 start since the trade, but failed to hold an 11-point, fourth-quarter lead in an overtime loss at Portland on Friday. The Nuggets are 28-30 ATS this season, which includes a 14-15 record ATS at home. They have won their past four games ATS, after losing seven of their previous 10 games ATS. After scoring just two points in his Nuggets debut, Danilo Gallinari led Denver with 30 points against the Blazers, but missed the potential game-winning three-pointer in the final seconds of OT. Wilson Chandler has averaged 18 points while connecting on 52 percent of his shots from the field and 6-of-8 from behind the arc in his two games with Denver. Raymond Felton has not enjoyed his new home so far, making just 5-of-20 shot attempts and averaging 5.5 PPG in his two games with the Nuggets.

Denver has been one of the best teams at home in the NBA SU going 24-7, while the Hawks have the second most wins SU on the road in the Eastern Conference this season (19).
