ESPN’s David Purdum reported Monday night that a gambler lost his 15-way parlay after riding on 14 correct picks only to have Oklahoma lose to Iowa State as the final leg of that bet.

The bet was placed at the William Hill-run sportsbook at the Downtown Grand Casino in Las Vegas.

Iowa State was a -2 favorite and beat Oklahoma 82-77.

For those of you who don’t understand how parlays work, one does not get rewarded for having 14 correct picks.  They get nothing!

The $162,930 prize would have been the second largest single payout of progressive jackpot at William Hill, that sportsbook’s director of marketing Michael Grodskey tells ESPN.

Someone’s got a severe headache Monday evening.
