Dallas Mavericks Odds to Win 2011 NBA Championship

The Dallas Mavericks odds to win the 2011 NBA Championship have been slashed to 2/1 or +200 for a payout potential of $200 on every $100 bet or $20 on every $10 bet at SBG Global.  At press time, the Mavs were 3-0 in their series against the Los Angeles Lakers, who ironically were 2/1 favorites to win the NBA Championship coming into Round 2 of the Playoffs.

It is almost inevitable that Dallas will move on to the next round since history is against Los Angeles in a very big way.  All 98 teams in NBA history that have gone 0-3 in the Playoffs ended up being eliminated.

The Mavericks all but sealed the deal on Friday with a 98-92 win over LA.

The Mavericks pulled this game out by scoring 32 points in the fourth quarter.

"We're not good enough to relax or take the pedal off the metal," said Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki, who scored 32 points against Los Angeles Friday night. "You don't want to ever give a champion life, so hopefully we can have the same effort and the same crowd and a great game on Sunday."

The Miami Heat were even favorites to win the 2011 NBA Championship while the Chicago Bulls had odds that were a half point longer than Dallas at +250.
