Fantasy Picks to Ponder for Sunday:

James Harden (Houston - SG) $10.5K – The Clippers have struggled to contain opposing shooting guards and they don’t get much better than Harden.  This Rockets star needs to rack up 42 fantasy points to make value and had little trouble doing so the last time facing off against LA.

Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City - PG) $12500 – If not Harden, you almost have to select Westbrook being that Kevin Durant is out.  He’ll need about 46 fantasy points but that’s nothing for the Thunder shooting guard.  Westbrook scored just shy of that many baskets the last time he faced Chicago.  Then he tacked on 8 rebounds and 7 assists for good measure.  So basically, pick your poison here.

Eric Gordon (New Orleans - SG) $5.4K – He made value vs. Brooklyn and Milwaukee his two previous games.  He’ll go up against a Denver team that is among the worst in the league but one that played well against New Orleans the last time these teams met on March 1.  Gordon just barely made value when he last faced the Nuggets.  That one was on the road, however.  We anticipate the Pelicans shooting guard to accumulate over 30 fantasy points on March 15.

Trevor Ariza (Houston - SF) $5.7K – He needs roughly 28 fantasy points to make value against the Clippers.  Ariza flirted with that number the last time he played them.  This is a Clippers team ranked close to last in terms of giving up the most fantasy points to opposing small forwards.  Ariza, though, struggled mightily against Utah his last game but did make value versus Portland in the previous game and did the same versus Denver.  Ariza will face LA with plenty of rest.

Omer Asik (New Orleans - C) $4.5K – Denver has had its troubles against centers and this one will be especially well rested following a stellar performances versus Brooklyn on Tuesday in which he tallied up over 34 fantasy points.  Asik only needs roughly 27 to make value against Denver on Sunday.
