The Cleveland Cavs fired head coach David Blatt with assistant coach Tyronn Lue taking over and agreeing to a three-year deal.  Cavs odds of winning the 2016 NBA Championship remained firm at +340 to win the NBA Championship and -400 to win the Eastern Conference.

The Cavaliers had been taking steps back and were lacking connection, Cleveland's general manager David Griffin said Friday night. The team isn't in the business of being "pretty good," he said.

Blatt’s termination comes after LeBron James criticized his team for an embarrassing 34-point loss to the Golden State Warriors earlier this week.
