Carrie Stroup here with your Bucks vs. Clippers betting line for Wednesday night.  Los Angeles -10.5, Total: 197.5

MILWAUKEE BUCKS (10-16) at LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS (15-10)

The Bucks will be looking to shake off a loss to the Lakers when they face a red-hot Clippers team on Wednesday night.

The Bucks handed the Warriors their first loss of the season on Saturday, but the team did not ride the momentum from that victory. Instead, the Bucks went into Los Angeles and lost 108-95 as a 4.5-point favorite against the lowly Lakers. Milwaukee has now lost three of its past four games and is far from being the team that many thought would be a contender in the East before the season.

The Clippers defeated the Pistons 105-103 in overtime as a two-point road favorite on Monday. Los Angeles is on fire recently, winning two straight games and eight of its past 10 as well. The Clippers defeated this same Bucks team 109-95 in Milwaukee on Dec. 9 and will be looking to bring the same energy on Wednesday night.

Los Angeles is 2-0 SU when hosting Milwaukee over the past three seasons, but the Bucks have covered in both of those games. Each of those contests also happened to have gone Under the total. One thing favoring Milwaukee in this game is the fact that the team is 11-2 ATS in a road game where the total is 200 to 209.5 over the past two seasons. The Bucks are, however, 14-30 ATS when playing only their second game in five days over the past three seasons.

The Bucks have lost 10 straight road games after dropping Wednesday’s contest against the Lakers. C Greg Monroe (15.2 PPG, 9.8 RPG) was a late scratch in that one after bumping knees with a teammate in shootaround, but he should be out there when his team takes the court against the Clippers. He is coming off of a 28-point and 11-rebound performance against the Warriors in his last game and put up 16 points with 10 boards against the Clippers on Dec. 9.

One guy that is going to need to play well for the Bucks in this game is PG Michael Carter-Williams (10.8 PPG, 5.3 APG, 3.7 RPG). Over the past two games, the guard is averaging 18.0 PPG, 5.0 APG and 3.5 SPG. His size is something that could give Chris Paul some issues defensively, but he really must take care of the basketball. He has just two turnovers over the past two games and if he can avoid mistakes then his team will have a shot to end its drought on the road.

The last time the Clippers faced this Bucks team, PG Chris Paul (16.4 PPG, 8.9 APG, 1.8 SPG) scored 18 points and also dished out 18 assists. He was in complete control of the game and will be looking to do more of the same on Wednesday.

SG J.J. Redick (14.9 PPG) was also at his best in that one. Redick was scorching hot, pouring in 31 points on 11-for-18 shooting from the field and 6-for-9 shooting from the outside. He is also averaging 22.5 PPG over the past two contests.

PF Blake Griffin (24.3 PPG, 8.8 RPG, 4.8 APG) is going to be a major problem for the Bucks. He had 34 points and seven assists against Detroit on Monday and finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds and four assists against the Bucks last meeting. His blend of size and athleticism gives the smaller Bucks forwards a lot of issues inside.
