The following preview relates to the Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat Game 3 of the 2011 NBA Eastern Conference Final.

Sportsbook.com NBA Betting Line/Total: Miami -5 & 179

After closing Game 2 on a 12-2 run, the Miami Heat tied the Eastern Conference Finals at one game apiece with an 85-75 win. The two teams now head to Miami for Game 3 on Sunday night.

Chicago, who was 4-0 against Miami this season before Wednesday’s loss, was outrebounded by the Heat for the first time in their five meetings this season in Game 2. After grabbing 16 more boards and scoring 23 second-chance points in Game 1, the Bulls were outrebounded by four and scored just six second-chance points in Game 2. A big part of the Bulls success in their Game 1 victory was their ability to hit jump shots in their half-court offense, averaging 1.12 points per shot and shooting 44.2 percent. Miami was much better at defending the Bulls in Game 2, as Chicago averaged just 0.60 PPS and shot 28.6 percent in the half-court offense. The Bulls shot 34% overall from the field, including 3-of-20 from three-point land, and converted just 16-of-26 free throws (62%). Derrick Rose was held to just 7-of-23 FG (30%) after going 10-for-22 (46%) in Game 1.

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James combined for 53 points and shot 54 percent in Game 2, after scoring just 33 points and shooting 38 percent in Game 1. Miami was helped with the production of Udonis Haslem, scoring 13 points and grabbing five rebounds in Game 2, his first points or rebounds in a game since Nov. 22, 2010. Haslem, who had only logged seven playoff minutes before Wednesday because of a bad foot, was a big part of the Heat outscoring the Bulls 50-34 in the paint in Game 2.

Proposed NBA betting lines for the Bulls-Heat and Mavericks-Thunder upcoming games number 4:

Heat -4

Oklahoma City -2

NBA Betting – Los Angeles Lakers at Boston Celtics

One of the best rivalries in all of sports is relevant again now that the Los Angeles Lakers are winning games. After having their nine-game winning streak stopped by Orlando, LeBron and Co. responded with a gritty road win over Houston on Saturday to kick off a stretch of five straight away from home.

Los Angeles Lakers star forward Anthony Davis talked to reporters on Tuesday for the first time since his scary fall against the New York Knicks on January 7.

Oregon Ducks at Washington State Cougars Betting Pick

Oregon Ducks at Washington State Cougars Betting Pick

Not much has gone right for Washington State this season, including three losses in four PAC-12 contests. While the Cougars were able to bring down UCLA earlier in the year, Washington State has dropped its other three conference games by an average of 14 points apiece. Although Washington State will have an opportunity to protect its home floor in Thursday night’s PAC-12 action, they’ll be facing off against an Oregon Ducks team with two victories in three attempts on the road this season.

NBA Betting – Portland Trail Blazers at Houston Rockets

NBA Betting – Portland Trail Blazers at Houston Rockets

Just last season the Portland Trail Blazers won 53 games and reached the Western Conference final. They are currently on pace to win 33 games and miss the postseason for the first time in seven years. There still is plenty of basketball left with the Blazers hitting the midway point and snatching a victory last time out. But the West is stacked and the Houston Rockets are one of the teams at the top of the standings. Led by NBA scoring leader James Harden, Houston is one of five times within three games of each other in the congested West race and look to get back in the win column after dropping Tuesday’s game in Memphis.
