The Cavs and Thunder are proving to be early letdowns in the NBA with Cleveland owning a frightening 5-7 record Straight Up while Oklahoma City is 4-7.  Both teams have won a mere three games in their last ten overall.  Neither would make the Playoffs if they were to be decided today.

Dave Mason of BetOnline has released odds on which of these two teams makes it to .500 first (if at all).  He has the Cavaliers -175 and the Thunder as a value pick potentially paying out $15.50 for every $10 bet should they get there first.

The mediocrity of both Cleveland and Oklahoma City has opened the door for other teams to excel in their respective conferences, most notably Detroit in the East and Houston in the West.  Minnesota and Denver have each moved a few games over the .500 mark.  Boston and Golden State look to dominate their respective conferences.
