2011 NCAA Championship Game Predictions

For those of you who rely heavily on trends, Gambling911.com has a few 2011 NCAA Championship game predictions based on this information.  Let’s do a little comparison shopping.

The line in this game is 3.5 favoring UConn. In the Huskies last 10 games, they have covered this number only 6 times.  They have not covered the current spread in the last two games, both won by two and a single point, respectively.

Butler is a team that has shown it can play very tight games and, indeed, lost by a mere two points last year in the Final.  The Bulldogs last 8 losses featured 3 games that were within the current spread.  Butler has a huge edge when it comes to this particular trend.

Against the Spread, both these teams have performed well on neutral courts, which is to be expected being that they made it this far in the 2011 Tournament.  Connecticut is 12-1 ATS while Butler is 10-0 ATS.  Neither team has a tremendous advantage here.

Connecticut is 8-2 ATS in non-conference games this season while Butler is 11-3 ATS.

When playing against a team with a winning record, UConn is 20-10 Against The Spread while the Bulldogs are 18-5.  Again, neither team has a major advantage.

Connecticut as a favorite is 11-9 ATS this season and 30-39 ATS over the last three seasons.

Butler, on the other hand is 8-1 Against The Spread as an underdog.  They once again have a tremendous advantage in this particular category.
