2011 March Madness odds for some of the more competitive games taking place in Tulsa, Oklahoma included Arizona vs. Memphis at -5.5 favoring the Wildcats, Illinois vs. UNLV with a near even spread (-1.5 favoring UNLV), Texas vs. Oakland, with the Longhorns a -9.5 favorite.

Kansas was one of the bigger favorites with a -22.5 line against Boston U.  All odds were courtesy of BetDSI.com.

The Arizona vs. Memphis line is an interesting one in that Gambling911.com predicted the Wildcats should be listed at -7.  While we were close, Gambling911.com also anticipated oddsmakers to have Arizona as a double digit favorite.   With that said, we think Arizona should be able to cover relatively easily.

UNLV we had right on the money, predicting an opening line of -2.  The oddsmakers at BetDSI.com have them at -1.5.

"We hope to have the opportunity to play Kansas," UNLV coach Lon Kruger said. "Certainly, Kansas is very tough. Very good ... I'm biased, of course, but I would've thought we had (played their way off the 8-9 line) but it doesn't mean anything what I think. Everybody's got their opinion."

Kruger is biased, having been born in Silver Lake, Kansas.

The Jayhawks come into their game against Boston U as a number one seed.  Whether they can cover the -22.5 points remains to be seen.

There are some interesting stats involving Oakland vs. Texas as well.  Oakland is 5-1 Against The Spread in all Tournament games while Texas is 6-1 ATS.  This one could play out closer than what the current line suggests.
