Thursday's MLB weather will likely only have one game impacted by storms: That being the Rangers @ the Phillies.

This game gets underway shortly after 1 pm ET with scattered thunderstorms forecast at any time from then until 8 pm ET (there is a 30% to 50% chance of storms occurring).

There were storms throughout the region Thursday morning but it does appear this game will be played in its entirety with storms ending by 1 pm and the weather clearing out for the rest of the day.

This game was dealing with a delayed start.

Philadelphia is a big -210 favorite coming into this game.

Andrew Heaney (4.43, 0-5) will pitch for the Rangers while Zack Wheeler (2.52, 5-3) starts for Philadelphia.

The Rangers are now hovering around the .500 mark (24-25, 12-12 Away).  Philadelphia is one of the best teams in the MLB with a 35-14 record, 20-8 Home.  Texas has only won two of their last ten games.

The Phillies won Tuesday's game of this series after the Rangers won the nine previous games against Philadelphia.

Know the Rules When Games Are Suspended, Postponed

The Orioles and St. Louis Cardinals suspended their game Tuesday night after a rainstorm rolled over Busch Stadium ahead of the bottom of the sixth inning. They plan to resume the contest, which was tied 1-1 when the grounds crew rolled out the tarp, at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday and play their series finale 30 minutes after.

Sportsbooks have different rules on suspended games just like they do for postponements. Most books may keep the bet active if the game is going to be resumed within 24 to 36 hours.

With DraftKings, for example, Bets on games suspended after they have started will have action as long as the game is resumed within 36 hours of the original start time.

Upcoming Weather Friday

Friday all eyes will be on Chicago with scattered storms forecast in the evening hours when the Orioles take on the White Sox.

Minneapolis will also see showers on Friday.

Strong thunderstorms could impact the Cubs-Cardinals game Friday as well.
