This Texas Rangers vs. Detroit Tigers betting review for Tuesday night’s game is courtesy of SBG Global.

Tuesday, 7:05 pm Eastern – MLB Network

Texas Rangers pitcher Tommy Hunter will look to start the season 7-0 as the Rangers play the Tigers in the second baseball betting game of a three-game series on Tuesday.  Hunter is 6-0 on the season with a 2.39 ERA.  It could be tough for Hunter on Tuesday since the Tigers are an excellent team at home plus Hunter is far better in his career at home than on the road. In his 12 career road starts he is just 4-4 with a 5.90 ERA.

SBG Global current line: Rangers – 125, Total 9.5 Under – 120.

Hunter is 2-0 in his last three starts with a 2.75 ERA. He has done well in his career against the Tigers, going 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA. The Tigers are planning to call up Armando Galarraga for this start. He went down for one start to Triple-A Toledo but is coming back up for this start on Tuesday.  He is 3-2 on the season with a 4.45 ERA.  He is 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA in six appearances at home this MLB betting season.  Since his almost perfect game, Galarraga has not pitched well. In his last three starts he is 1-1 with a 7.02 ERA. He is 2-1 in his career against Texas with a 3.60 ERA.

Looking at the betting stats for this game, Texas is 7-1 in their last 8 Tuesday games. The Rangers are 7-1 in Hunter’s last 8 starts. The Tigers are 35-16 in their last 51 home games. The Tigers are 3-8 in their last 11 Tuesday games. The Tigers are 5-0 in Galarraga’s last 5 home starts.

Looking at the total, The Over is 4-0 in Galarraga’s last 4 starts overall but the Under is 7-3 in Galarraga’s last 10 home starts.

Texas is third in the league in runs scored so they should have some success in this contest against Galarraga.  The Rangers have been around the .500 mark on the road this betting season while the Tigers have been excellent at home.  The Rangers will try and finish up their road trip with some success today and tomorrow before heading home for a key series against the Angels.  The Tigers are looking to put together some wins at home so they can keep the pressure on the White Sox and Twins in the American League Central division.
