There may be some good news for the Rays, who are currently on an 11 game slide.  Tampa Bay has won five of the last six games in this series and Boston have only won four of their last six games overall.

GAME ONE PITCHING MATCHUP: Red Sox LH Eduardo Rodriguez (1-2, 6.41 ERA) vs. Rays LH Blake Snell (0-2, 2.40)

Rodriguez faced Tampa Bay twice in his 2015 rookie campaign and allowed a total of six runs on 12 hits and six walks in 11 innings.

Snell, meanwhile, is seeing Boston for the first time and lost his only previous home start while surrendering five runs – one earned – and eight hits in 3 1/3 innings against Seattle on June 16.

For Game 2, the Rays are 1-6 in Chris Archer’s last 7 starts though the Red Sox are 1-5 in Rick Porcello’s last 6 road starts.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
