Houston is a -178 favorite after opening at -143 and 65% of those betting the money line were backing the Astros.  Based on this line movement, the books appear to believe the Astros have a good shot of winning here.  This one is a little too pricey for our tastes.

The total on this game opened at 9 and is trending towards 8.5.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Athletics RH Mike Fiers (2-1, 3.00 ERA) vs. Astros RH Brad Peacock (1-0, 1.35)

Fiers has bounced back from a disappointing season debut against Seattle in Japan, tossing six scoreless innings in each of his next two starts - victories over the Los Angeles Angels and Boston. The 33-year-old Floridian allowed a total of six hits in the wins while issuing three walks and recording five strikeouts. Fiers has made three career starts against Houston, going 1-2 with a 5.00 ERA.

Peacock gave up just one run and two hits while registering five strikeouts without a walk in a win at Texas. Peacock has a career record of 3-6 with a 4.21 ERA in 13 starts and 10 relief appearances against Oakland.
