This one stands out like a sore thumb with the line coming down from Red Sox -150 at a handful of books and dropping all the way to -120 at some books with the Sox playing again in Oakland.  They got beat yesterday and the betting public believes that won't happen again.  Some 85% of those wagering on the money line early on were backing Boston.

The price dip is all the more baffling considering that Red Sox ace LH David Price (2-1, 2.25 ERA) will be starting Sunday.

Price limited the Los Angeles Angels to one run despite giving up three hits and four walks in five innings on Tuesday after working just one frame against the New York Yankees in his previous turn due to a "sensation" he felt in his left hand.

Athletics RH Daniel Mengden (2-2, 4.50) held the Chicago White Sox to one run over eight innings to record his first win in 11 career decisions at Oakland Coliseum this past Monday.  He has struggled at home however. He is 4-10 in his last 14 starts.

Mengden was battered his last and only time facing Boston.

But the Athletics, an average team hovering around the .500 mark to date this season,  is 7-3 in Mengden’s last 10 starts and they've also had Boston's number of late, winning six of ten.
