Verlander (2-2, 5.46), priced at $8100 at both DraftKings and FanDuel, has given up no more than three runs in four of his last five starts, pitching six or more innings in each of those.  All but one of his last five games have resulted in total runs scored of 8 or more.

Verlander does have 24 strikeouts in his last three starts, but he's already allowed 18 earned runs in five starts.

There are some solid Indian batters that should be considered versus Verlander.

Marlon Byrd was batting .295 with two home runs and eight RBI during the month of April.  He’s gotten a bit cold in recent days but is 6-for-13 against Verlander with a home run.  Jose Ramirez is 4-for-12 against Verlander and has been averaging .417 over the past seven days.  This is not good for the Tigers starter.  Then there is Carlos Santana averaging .389 over the past seven days.  He has 7 home runs in 56 at bats against Verlander.
