Best DFS MLB pitcher Picks: Danny Duffy, Adam Wainwright

We are loving Danny Duffy today.  While many will be turned off by his 9.00 ERA to start off the season, Minnesota offers the perfect redemption to get right back on track.

Not only is the Twins Torii Hunter 0-10 versus Duffy, Joe Mauer is 1-10 while Trevor Plouffe is 2-16.

Duffy faced the Twins six times in 2014, more than any other opponent, and went 2-0 with a 1.63 ERA.  He is your top pitcher today at a decent price of $7.2K.  Likewise, for those betting this game, KC should roll over Minnesota today at -133.

Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright was dominant on his opening night of the season.  He’s also pitched well against Milwaukee while Brewers starting pitcher Matt Garza has had his issues at Busch Stadium, going 0-2 with a 6.95 ERA in five career starts.  Wainwright has thrown three shutouts and two more complete games in his last seven home starts against Milwaukee.   DFS players may want to have Wainwright as your starter and Duffy as the second pitcher.

The Cards are priced a little too steep at -166 for our liking.  That’s a bargain considering some books have St. Louis priced all the way to -190.

Baseball News

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
