You can bet the Royals-Rays series Monday through Wednesday. Monday’s odds had Tampa Bay as a -115 home favorite with KC at +105 and a total of 7.

The Royals had been struggling of late entering the weekend and have played poorly on the road while The UNDER was 16-4-2 in Tampa Bay’s last 22 overall.  This though has been a high scoring series with eight of the last ten going OVER the current total.

The Royals are 23-6 in the last 29 meetings.

MONDAY PITCHING MATCHUP: Royals LH Danny Duffy (6-1, 3.22 ERA) vs. Rays RH Chris Archer (5-14, 4.42)

Duffy is 1-1 against the Rays after holding them to three runs in six frames on June 1.

Archer has pitched well since the All-Star break, allowing seven runs over 20 1/3 innings with 25 strikeouts but going just 1-2.

Archer has permitted 29 hits off of 71 hits versus the current lineup of Royals batters for an average of .408.

Because KC has had trouble scoring runs and can’t seem to get its act together on the road this season, we will shy away from the OVER in Monday’s game, though it’s certainly tempting.  Six of the last nine games Archer has started have failed to go OVER the current number as well.
