You can bet the A’s vs. Rangers series this Monday through Wednesday.  Oakland (ten games under the .500 mark) is 16-6 in the last 22 meetings in Texas and have won six of their last ten games overall while struggling Texas (57-42) has won just three of their last ten games overall.  The Rangers were listed at -123, Oakland +113 and the total was coming in at 10.

MONDAY’S PITCHING MATCHUP: Athletics RH Daniel Mengden (1-5, 5.52 ERA) vs. Rangers LH Martin Perez (7-7, 4.37)

Mengden suffered a loss at home against the Rangers on June 16 despite yielding only two runs - one earned - and striking out seven over 6 1/3 innings.

Perez is 4-5 with a 5.73 ERA in 10 career starts versus the Athletics.

Check out Sonny Grey starting for Oakland on Tuesday as he has permitted a mere 28 hits off of 145 at bats versus this current Rangers lineup with four home runs.

Oakland though is just 2-8 in Gray’s last 10 starts and the Texas starter had yet to be announced as this was going to press.
