PITCHING MATCHUP: Mets RH Matt Harvey (4-7, 5.37 ERA) vs. Marlins RH Jose Fernandez (8-2, 2.53)

Jose Fernandez looks to extend his winning streak to eight straight starts on Sunday afternoon though it should be noted that Matt Harvey has allowed a mere 17 hits off of 101 versus the current Marlins roster, only one of which was a home run.  Harvey, despite having a lackluster season thus far, did manage to shut out the White Sox his last start.  He allowed five or more runs his previous three starts including nine against Washington.

The Mets are 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in Miami while winning the last three in this series.

The Mets are 0-6 in Harvey’s last 6 starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance.

Miami is an amazing 26-2 in Fernandez’s last 28 home starts.

The Marlins are also 15-2 in Fernandezs' last 17 home starts vs. a team with a winning record and 14-5 in their last 19 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30.
