Zion Williamson First Full Practice With Pelicans
(January 2, 2019) - Zion Williamson had his first full day of practice Thursday but it is not immediately clear when he will be available as the New Orleans Pelicans ride a four-game win streak to the West Coast. The team will play the Lakers on Friday and the Kings on Saturday.
The overall number one pick underwent surgery on the meniscus in his right knee on Oct. 21.
Though New Orleans is just 11-23, the team appears to be improving and Williamson should only be able to help in that regard.
Going through a full practice is a milestone Williamson has been itching to hit.
"If it was up to me, I would've been out there two weeks ago or something," Williamson said "It was just good to get back out there."
The Pelicans would currently pay out $25000 on a $100 bet to win the Southwest Division.
