You will be able to bet on College Football including your beloved Mountaineers from the Hollywood Casino at Charles Town once their sports book is up and running. Online sports betting will only be available via internationally-licensed wagering firms for the foreseeable future.

West Virginia was quick to begin allowing sports betting as soon as the US Supreme Court ruled to abolish decades long restrictions.  States are required to amend their current laws where necessary however.

Hollywood Casino is one of five in the state preparing for the upcoming football season

“Quite frankly, this is not a big moneymaker for the facilities but there is more excitement and more calls on this issue than any issue I’ve been involved with — and that includes slot machines and table games,” said John Cavacini, president of the West Virginia Gaming and Racing Association.
