Will Clemson Really Go 0-5 Against The Spread After This Week?

We get that Clemson is among the season's biggest disappointments and that they are out of contention for the Playoffs but can they really go 0-5 Against The Spread or will the oddsmakers be working to ensure folks don't get rich simply betting against the Tigers week after week.

Clemson comes in as a -14.5 home favorite versus Boston College at some books after opening at -15.5 .  And wouldn't you know it, 75% of the action was on the Eagles as of Thursday.

It's Boston College that looks like the Playoff team coming into this one at 4-0 Straight Up (they are 3-1 ATS).  But Clemson is still rated among the top 10 and clings onto the AP Top 25 at No. 25.  They have a power rating of 84.68 plus home field advantage gives them an adjusted rating of just over 87.  Boston College has a power rating of 75.58.  And while it appears as if there is an overlay, one has to believe the Tigers will play with more urgency than what our line of -12 might otherwise suggest.

Clemson's defense is still as solid as they come.  Even with the problems they are having, including injuries to star player Bryan Bresee, Clemson still leads the ACC in scoring D allowing 12 points per game.

There is also too much talent on this Tigers team not to get back to playing up to expectations.

Expect Clemson to be angry and there won't be any pressure from the national spotlight this week.  Poor Eagles.  We will be on the Tigers -14.5.
