About the Liberty Bowl

For its first five years, it was played at Philadelphia Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia before being held at Atlantic City Convention Hall in 1964. It is currently being played in Memphis.

The line on this game opened Tigers -8 and over the course of the past few days has shot up to -9. All the books were holding at 9 despite the fact that the underdog Cowboys were seeing 75% of the betting action.
