Where Can I Bet Virginia Teams in This Year's March Madness From the State: Cavs, Hokies, VCU

The commonwealth of Virignia has a total of five teams represented in this year's March Madness tournament.  While you can bet sports using in-state apps from Virginia, those sites based in the commonwealth are prohibited from wagering on games that feature state schools.  There is hope!  Sites like BetUS are still accessible from the state and take bets on all Virginia teams, including the Cavaliers, Hokies and Rams.  BetUS even offers a generous welcome bonus (max $2500).

Your Team(s)

Virginia Cavaliers

  • Not including last year's season shutdown, the Cavs have played in every NCAA Tournament since 2012.
  • The Cavaliers won the NCAA DI men's basketball championship in Minneapolis with an 85-77 overtime victory over Texas Tech.
  • Their odds to win this year are just 32-1.

VCU Rams

  • VCU punched their second NCAA tournament ticket under fourth-year head coach, Mike Rhoades.
  • The Rams went 17-6 on the season and 12-11 Against The Spread.
  • The Rams earned the 10-seed in the West Region where they were slated to face the seventh-seeded Ducks of Oregon in the first round.
  • This is VCU’s sixth at-large bid earned as an Atlantic 10 member since joining the conference for the 2012-13 season.
  • VCU pays out $11,000 for every $100 bet to win the 2021 NCAA Tournament.

Virginia Tech

  • The Hokies pay $8000 with a $100 bet should they win the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
  • VCU went 12-11 Against The Spread this season.
  • Not counting the disrupted 2020 season, Virginia Tech will be playing in its 4th consecutive March Madness tournament.

Liberty Flames

  • The Flames went 23-5 on the season.
  • Liberty went an impressive 15-6 Against The Spread.
  • Liberty made it into the Round of 32 in 2019 but lost to Virginia Tech.
  • Chris Parker scored 16 points and Liberty beat Stetson 77-64 on Friday in the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament semifinals and later earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament when North Alabama reached the title game.
  • North Alabama, a 96-81 winner over Florida Gulf Coast, is ineligible for the NCAA Tournament because it is in a four-year Division I transition period.

Norfolk State

  • Norfolk State plays in the First Four matchup against App State.
  • Joe Bryant scored 17 points and Kashaun Hicks added 14, including a pair of clinching dunks, as Norfolk State defeated Morgan State 71-63 on Saturday in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament championship game to earn its first NCAA Tournament bid in nine years.
