A 2018 ruling by the US Supreme Court mandates sports betting is permitted in all 50 states, however, Hawaii is yet to amend its own state laws to allow for regulation.
Hawaii has opted not to offer casino and other forms of gambling as they cite limited profit potential from the activity.
Hawaii is also one of a handful of states that does not even have a lottery.
