All-Star forward Jayson Tatum had 26 points, ten rebounds and six assists in the win against Miami that advanced Boston to this year's Finals.
In response to suggestions the Celtics could only make deep runs in the post season but don't quite have what it takes to go all the way, Tatum had this to say after the Game 7 win against the Heat:
"Saying we need to split the group up, or get rid of somebody or me and JB can't play together," Tatum said of the team's motivation. "That fueled us to figure it out, and not run from it."
