What The Line Should Be

The line on this game should be Arizona -2, so there is a bit of an underlay.

About These Teams

Arizona State - The team has had to deal with inconsistent play. A win over Kansas was followed by a loss to Princeton for example.

Zylan Cheatham (11.6 PPG, 10.5 RPG) has helped this ASU team improve.  Arizona State went from 203rd in offensive rebound percentage to 44th nationally.

Without a full 40 minutes like the Sun Devils put together against Washington, this will be a short stay, ESPN suggests.

They surrendered a 48 percent clip to their opponents in a bad Pac-12.

It is very difficult to see ASU advance beyond the first weekend as a result.  They might get lucky against St. John's however, especially since they do have a two-point edge.

St. John's - The Red Storm stumbled into the field of 68 after starting the season with 12 straight wins.
