Schilting set the Olympic record in women’s 1000m heat during the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. The defending gold medalist in the 1000m advanced to the quarterfinals.

Schulting will attempt to win five medals at the 2022 Beijing Olympics having already won two.

At the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships in March, she won all five events she entered.

She won gold in the overall, 500 meters, 1,000 meters, 1,500 meters and 3,000 meters relay.

Oddsmakers are giving Kristen Santos [USA] and Courtney Sarault [CAN] remote chances to take home the gold, 5-1 and 7-1 odds, respectively.
