Quentin Fillon Maillet [FRA] and Johannes Thingnes Boe [NOR] are the odds-on favorites to win the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics Men's 12.5km Pursuit - Biathlon at 3-1 odds apiece.
Fillon Maillet won the 20-kilometer individual biathlon race on Tuesday, adding a gold medal to the silver he won in the mixed relay over the weekend.
"Maybe it looked easy but it was so hard today," Fillon Maillet said. "With two misses in the shooting I never expected the victory. Maybe the podium. It was amazing."
Boe was part of a three-way sprint to the finish line to help Norway to a thrilling biathlon mixed relay gold. He finished ahead of Fillon Maillet in that event.
“With the 2-kilometer course here, I knew it was going to end up in a sprint and I prepared for this since I came here Monday,” Boe said. “I knew what to do and gave my best performance.
“I had already prepared for the last loop in my head 100 times.”
