The women's shot put event at the 2020 Summer Olympics is scheduled to take place on 30 July and 1 August 2021 at the Japan National Stadium.


China's Gong Lijiao is the -290 favorite to win this event.

She finished seventh at the 2007 World Championships, her international debut. At the 2008 Summer Olympics she finished fifth but received the bronze medal later after two competitors were stripped of their medals because of doping violations.

Jessica Ramsey and Valerie Adams each pay $550 on a $100 bet, the next shortest odds to win this event.
