The 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men's Final for Shooting is scheduled for 3:50 am EST Monday August 2.  Odds have Lin Junmin (CHN), Christian Reitz (GER), Jean Quiquampoix (FRA) and Oliver Geis (GER) among the favorites.  Junmin and Reitz each come in at -110 odds.

Junmin participated at the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships, winning a medal.  Reitz is the current world record holder.

Clement Bessaguet pays $700 while Peeter Olesk and Jean Quiquampoix pay out $1000 each on a $100 bet.

The 50m Rifle 3 Positions consists of the kneeling, prone, and standing positions, fired in that order, traditionally with 3×40 shots for men and 3×20 shots for women and using a 22 caliber Long Rifle.  In 2018, the number of shots was equalised between genders in favor of the 3x40 match, thus abolishing the 3x20.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
