ABOUT THE WARRIORS (3-12): Guard Alec Burks is receiving plenty of playing time due to the club's rash of backcourt injuries and he scored a season-high 29 points against Memphis. Burks was 9-of-15 shooting and collected eight rebounds while notching his fourth 20-point effort of the season. "He comes off the bench and he gets going," Green said of Burks, who actually made his third start of the campaign on Monday. "He gets downhill and gets to the basket. I think he's definitely improved his jump shot. That's one of the biggest improvements that I've seen in his game."

ABOUT THE MAVERICKS (8-5): Doncic is averaging 29.5 points, 10.7 rebounds and 9.3 assists in 13 games and he leads the NBA with six triple-doubles. "This guy can do anything he wants to on a basketball court," Dallas coach Rick Carlisle told reporters. "He's having one of those magical runs right now. It's a phenomenal thing to watch. It's a phenomenal thing to be a part of." Forward Dorian Finney-Smith contributed a career-best 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting - including 3-of-4 from 3-point range - against the Spurs for his sixth double-digit outing of the season.
