The post position draw for the 2021 Kentucky Oaks took place Monday morning with some changes in the odds as a result.

The Todd Pletcher-trained Malathaat sees the biggest shift, one that makes her the new favorite starting from the number 10 position.

“I’m basically fine with the draw,” Pletcher said. “I probably would have preferred to be a bit more toward the middle. But if it was a case of drawing inside or outside, I’ll take the outside. It’ll work out fine.”

Travel Column, now with the second shortest odds, was still priced at 3-1 following the post position draw that lands her in the 6 spot.  Search Results is the co-second favorite.

Travel Column trainer Brad H. Cox believes she has enough speed and doesn't necessarily need to be on the lead.

“But we’ll see how it unfolds and what other horses are doing,” he said. "Florent knows her very well and how she gets away. We’re in a good position with her.”

Search Results odds had been cut in half from 6-1 following the draw.
