Poker is one of the world’s most popular card games and is played by millions of people. As its popularity has grown, major tournaments have been held to find the best players. Organizations such as the World Series of Poker and World Championship of Online Poker. These tournaments often feature huge prize pools worth millions of dollars, and the best players can make big money.

Over the years, there have been loads of incredibly talented poker players, and it’s difficult to rank them based on their skill without seeing them play one another. Instead, the best way to rank them is on their career earnings. Tournament prize pools have gotten bigger over the years, so many of the best earners are the newest stars. However, career earnings are still the best way to rank those who play poker games online and in-person, as it shows that they’ve won the biggest tournaments.

Bryn Kenney

Bryn Kenney, from Long Beach, New York, is one of the best poker players of all time in terms of career earnings. The 35-year-old started out with Magic the Gathering, a fantasy card game, before making the transition to poker in 2007. After a hugely successful year, he reached the number one spot on the all-time poker winnings list in 2019 after a hugely successful year, taking $20 million from finishing second in the Triton Million. This was the single largest payout in the history of poker. Despite coming second, he still won the largest prize due to a prize-splitting agreement made with his final opponent after originally having a 5:1 chip lead when the tournament entered heads up.

Kenney’s career winnings have been calculated at more than $57 million, putting him well ahead of most other professional players. However, the poker star has recently been the subject of controversy, as some have accused him of running a cult-like poker cheating scheme. While Kenney has denied the allegations, they are quite serious and need to be investigated.

Justin Bonomo

Justin is another former Magic the Gathering player who turned to poker when he realized how much money could be made in the game. He became the youngest ever poker player to be featured on a televised final table when he was just nineteen years old. Now, seventeen years later, he’s one of the biggest stars in poker. Justin has amassed more than $50 million over the course of his career, including winning three bracelets and one circuit ring from the World Series of Poker while earning $14 million from the tournament. His WSOP wins came in 2014 and two in 2018.

Other events that Bonomo has won include the Triton High Roller Series, PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, and Super High Roller Bowls in China and Las Vegas. In 2006, Bonomo was caught creating multiple accounts to play online poker at Partypoker. He ended up being banned on two poker sites and having thousands of dollars confiscated due to breaking the terms of the site.

Daniel Negreanu

Negreanu is one of the most famous faces in poker, having spent many years in the top rankings. Although he’s been overtaken recently on the money list by some of the new kids on the block, the 47-year-old is still going strong. In 2014, he was recognized by the independent Global Poker Index as the best player of the last decade. He’s made well over $40 million in career winnings and has picked up six WSOP bracelets.

Aside from the WSOP wins, Negreanu has achieved success in the World Poker Tour, World Championship of Online Poker, and many more. Outside of poker, the Canadian has appeared in TV shows and movies and regularly competes in other games such as chess and Hearthstone.
