As much as we hate to do this, Gambling911.com is going to be taking the New Orleans Pelicans at +4.5.

While this team is in disarray right now, the books appear to have a strong opinion on New Orleans, moving the line down to OKC -4.5 off -5 despite all the action coming in on the Thunder.

All-Star Anthony Davis wanted to be traded - and was not - but the books believe the distractions are now over.   It's time to get back to playing good basketball.

From the Advocate:

Coming off the team’s two worst offensive performances of the season — to a pair of teams both hovering underneath the .500 mark — Anthony Davis and his band of teammates don’t necessarily have to come away with a win Thursday night at home against the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder. But they do have to signal that they care.

“We talked today and had a meeting today and talked about, we have 24 games left and what does that look like? What do we want to be?” Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said. “It comes down to personal pride, what pride do you have as a player and what respect do you have for your teammates? That’s what you have to play for. You play for yourself and the team. That’s what it comes down to.

“You’ve got to be self-motivated, and it’s got to mean something to you.”

The Pelicans are eight wins below the .500 mark Straight Up and just three below the .500 mark Against The Spread.

The Pelicans have won five of the last seven home games in this series and these teams have essentially split wins and losses over this time period.

Sagarin has New Orleans ranked among the middle of the pack.  They indicate a line of Thunder -1.5.

We have the chances for a New Orleans cover at 57% and the Pelicans are our play at +5.
