Terry Stotts Favored to Be Named Next Lakers Head Coach

After the Kings hired Mike Brown, there are currently two vacant head coaching positions in the NBA, but just one anybody is really talking about.

The Lakers are in search of the next man to lead LeBron James and company to another title. Early favorites such as Quin Snyder and David Fizdale have fallen in the latest set of odds.

According to our latest projections, Terry Stotts is the frontrunner while Doc Rivers, Mark Jackson and Darvin Ham all have 5-1 odds or better.

Other notable names include Jay Wright, Nick Nurse, John Calipari, Mike Krzyzewski and Phil Jackson, the latter of which is assisting with the hiring process.

If LeBron were to take over as player-coach at 100-1 odds, he would be the first to have that role since Dave Cowens led the Celtics during the 1978-79 campaign.
