What Should the Spread on the 49ers vs. Eagles Game be?

After Week 1, the 49ers had a rating of 22.73 and Eagles 16.86.  Adjusting for home field advantage we get a line of San Francisco -3 .  The line opened at 49ers -3.5.

San Francisco beat Detroit but it wasn't easy. After building a 28-point lead, the Lions came roaring back and nearly upset San Fran.

In coach Dan Campbell's debut as head coach, Detroit scored 23 points in three-plus minutes to pull within eight points.

The Eagles had one of the biggest statement wins against Atlanta in Week 1: 32-6.

Jalen Hurts threw three touchdown passes, the first of them to Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith, and the Eagles made a winner of Nick Sirianni in his head coaching debut with the rout.

What to Watch for in the Line Movement

Atlanta was the -3.5 favorite hosting the Eagles and the line hardly moved.  Only briefly did the books flirt with the number 3.  Heritage did not come off the -3.5 since the 9th.

San Francisco was a 9-point favorite in Detroit and missed the cover by 8.  At BetOnline, this one moved from -7.5 to -9 then hit -9.5 a few minutes before kickoff (1:02 pm ET).   Bovada had the number at 9.5 a few hours before gametime and Heritage was at -8.5 until 1 pm.
