Prediction

The 49ers last made the playoffs and reached the NFC title game with a 12-4 record in 2013.  It's been downhill since that time.  But last season's five consecutive wins to close the season, some against competitive teams, had oddsmakers going nuts and it was enough to alter San Francisco's futures odds for this season.  This is all about starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.  The 49ers, after all, were 1-10 before he took over.  Still, it is pretty unsustainable to believe he alone can carry this team.  Garoppolo and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin developed instant chemistry.  Goodwin is a talent to be sure.
