Philadelphia won against Arizona last night.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Phillies RH Jake Arrieta (8-8, 4.44 ERA) vs. Diamondbacks RH Mike Leake (9-8, 4.27)

Arrieta settled for a no-decision after allowing two runs - one earned - and four hits with five strikeouts in four innings of Philadelphia's 10-2 victory over San Francisco on Thursday. The 33-year-old native of Missouri is 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA in his last five turns, with the Phillies winning his three no-decisions in that span. Jake Lamb is 7-for-15 with two doubles and three RBIs versus Arrieta, who is 5-3 with a 2.43 ERA in 10 starts against the Diamondbacks after a 7-4 victory on June 11 in which he yielded three runs in six innings.

Leake last started on July 30, when he escaped with a no-decision after permitting five runs - three earned - and 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings of the Mariners' 8-5 victory at Texas. The 31-year-old Californian joins his fifth team after going 102-95 with a 4.04 ERA in 291 games (286 starts) with Cincinnati, San Francisco, St. Louis and Seattle. Bryce Harper is 3-for-18 with two home runs against Leake, who is 3-3 with a 5.50 ERA in 11 starts against the Phillies but hasn't faced them since 2017.
