Ducks Going on the Road

Dana Altman has been Oregon’s coach since 2010 and has had a lot of success posting a 218-86 record. This year has been a struggle since losing Bol Bol to a season ending foot injury. This game marks the only time these two teams will face off this year, as it can be seen on FS1 Thursday night. Oregon has leaned more on Louis King (11.9 ppg) and Payton Pritchard (11.5 ppg) since Bol went down. King has averaged 17.9 ppg over his last seven games as a freshman. The 6’9” forward has a lot of potential going forward, as it remains to be seen what Bol does following the season. Junior guard Payton Pritchard should be back next year, as he fills out the stat book night in and night out for Oregon.

Utah Seeking 12th Win

The Utah Utes are seeking their 5th straight win and their 12th of the season. Utah is 7-2 when playing at home this season. The last time out, Utah smacked California on the road by 18 points. The Utah saw forward Timmy Allen have a big game with 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists in the game It was his first double double of the season.

Pick and Prediction

We’ll see if the two-headed monster of Robert Franks (21.2 ppg) and CJ Elleby (16.1 ppg) can take down the Ducks at home Thursday night for their fifth-straight win. Franks (7.6 rpg) and Elleby (6.9 rpg) do all the work on the boards for the Cougars, as King (5.1 rpg) and Kenny Wooten (4.8 rpg) will have to step up big on the boards for Oregon. We are taking the Ducks on the road.
