Opening kickoff returned for a touchdown prop bets for this year's Super Bowl had the following odds:

The NO is impossible to bet on due to the outrageous odds, but even a small $10 wager on the YES pays out a sick $600.  A $100 bet pays out $6000 at many of the online sportsbooks.

Only one player has returned the Super Bowl's opening kickoff for a touchdown: Devin Hester of the Chicago Bears.  Hester took the opening kick of Super Bowl XLI for a 92-yard touchdown in a game the Bears would ultimately go on to lose.

Amazingly, there has never been any punt returns for a touchdown in Super Bowl history, so expect an even greater payout for this particular prop.

Just think, it took 55 Super Bowls to have a participating team host the big game.  That was the Tampa Bay Bucs in the 2021 Super Bowl.  They won it.

And after that long draught, we have a second consecutive year of a Super Bowl participant having home field advantage.  That would be the LA Rams (2022).

Some more opening kickoff historic facts to consider before playing any related bets:

28 of the previous 31 Super Bowl opening kickoffs have been returned with the only three to result in touchbacks all kicked indoors.  Arizona's stadium does have a retractable root, however, the heat will not be an issue and rain won't be either.

All three opening kickoff touchbacks listed above also took place after the 2010 NFL rule change which moved the kickoff spot from the 30-yard line to the 35-yard line.
