The Edmonton Journal appeared to be celebrating the notion that their beloved Oilers were the odds-on favorite to land Patrick Kane at 3-1 odds.

It's with good reason.

Kane has won three Stanley Cups as a member of the Blackhawks, in 2010, 2013 and 2015, as well as the Conn Smythe Trophy when he was named the most valuable player of the playoffs in 2013.

Let the celebration begin, perhaps.

From the Edmonton Journal:

Betonline reports the same, saying: “After 15 years and three Stanley Cup Trophies with the Chicago Blackhawks, will we see the Blackhawks trade Patrick Kane? If Wayne Gretzky and Joe Montana can get traded, anyone can! Below are the odds of which team Kane gets traded to with the Oilers and Avalanche at the top and his hometown Sabres seventh on the list:
Oilers +300 (3/1)
Avalanche +350 (7/2)
Rangers +400 (4/1)
Kings +500 (5/1)
Lightning +550 (11/2)
Leafs +600 (6/1)
Sabres +750 (15/2)”

Cardinals Star Kyler Murray Now Among Richest QBs

Arizona Cardinals star Kyler Murray has agreed to a five-year extension worth $230.5 million, according to ESPN.  This makes him among the league's richest quarterbacks.

In fact, it's second highest only behind the Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers ($50.3 million) in terms of average annual value.

Arizona plays in a tough division featuring the reigning Super Bowl champion Rams and a solid San Francisco 49ers squad that just missed getting in the Super Bowl last year.

The Cardinals odds of winning the 2023 Super Bowl were 40-1.
