Northern Kentucky- NKU has become a Horizon League force and is playing in its second NCAA tournament in only three years of eligibility.  The Norse are going to push the tempo, create turnovers and score at a high rate, though we would note that the UNDER went 16-15 in Norse games this season.  There are only two good free throw shooters, which does not bode well for Northern Kentucky if this comes down to the wire.

Texas Tech - The Red Raiders are a -12.5 favorite coming into this one.  They made it to the Elite Eight last year.  ESPN.com says: “The Red Raiders are doing it with a nasty defense that tops the nation in efficiency and is so good against the 3-pointer that some opponents shouldn't even attempt long-range shots.”

Winners and Whiners: "Northern Kentucky is playing with confidence after winning the Horizon League tourney, and they are strong enough in both ends of the court to keep this one close. The Norse feature several offensive threats, and they are shooting a dazzling 48.1% as a team."

Action vs. Line Movement

65% of the spread action was on the Norse.  Books are trending -14.5 to -12.5 in an effort to get more action on Texas Tech.  There does not appear to be any bookmaker opinion here.

Is the Line Correct?

Sagarin indicates a line of Texas Tech -13.5.
