Chubb ran for 59 yards and opted not to enter the end zone, instead stopping at the 1-yard line with just 1:07 to play.  With the Browns up 10-7, Chubb's decision prevented a Browns cover.  The spread was Cleveland -4.5.

The plan was reportedly to have Chubb pick up the first down then give himself up, allowing the Browns to run out the remaining seconds by kneeling.

The Browns did just that.  They knealt on the final two plays.

"I got a call from the coaches, from [quarterback] Baker [Mayfield] to not score, get a first down to end the game. So that's what I did," Chubb said after the game. "Luckily the run was a little longer because I didn't think about it until the last 10 yards."

Some early Browns bettors made out as the line opened at -2.5 and was bet up to -4.5.  The game also offered a rare middling opportunity where gamblers could have gotten in on Cleveland at -2.5 at one book and the Texans elsewhere at +4.5.

William Hill reported that close to 90% of the spread bets on this game were on the Browns.
