Taijuan Walker (6-3, 2.42 ERA) - Walker was charged with four runs over 6 1/3 innings on Sunday June 20 in a loss to the Nationals. He allowed 10 hits. He only permitted two runs in his previous start and one against Baltimore the prior game. Gambling911.com anticipates Walker to be solid against Atlanta in the first of a double header on Friday. In 41 at bats against Walker, the Braves have had just 7 hits and a single home run. Aaron Nola will start for the Phillies in this game. Nola did not factor into the decision in his last start and was dominant previous to that game. Yan Gomes has enjoyed much success against Nola with two home runs and 4 RBIs, he is 6 for 16 hitting off him.
Friday Analysis
Despite the OVER in this series going 10-4 in the last 14 meetings, the UNDER is 8-2 in the Mets last ten games ahead of this first matchup in the day's doubleheader. Taijuan Walker coming off a bad start and needing to make amends also provides some argument for the UNDER, that's assuming he starts.
