For the second consecutive Thursday the Cowboys have one job to do, win. They failed miserably in front of the home crowd on Thanksgiving Day, what do they bring to Chicago? Chicago picked up a nice win on Thanksgiving and covered the -2.5 against the Lions. Both teams come in at 6-6 and the online sportsbooks love the Cowboys at -3, on the road. Who’s worth the time and money this week?

Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears Preview and Predictions

DAL -3, O/U 43.5 : Free Pick

Chicago, Soldier Field 8.20 PM ET FOX

Dak Prescott has plenty of passing yards, 3788, with 23 TDs, and 11 INTs. Dak has the arm, he has the instincts, and he certainly has the athleticism to be a great quarterback. Whether or not he is a great quarterback; the jury is still out. The Cowboys have a plethora of woes and these problems do not start with Dak. The problem starts with coaching. Jason Garrett has been the Cowboys head coach since 2007 and every year the reports are the same – “this is the Cowboys year”. The fans in Dallas are sick to death of this nonsense. The Dallas Cowboys are supposed to be winning and by winning we mean contending for a Super Bowl. Garrett is simply no longer in control of his players, he has lost this team.

Oh yes, he may find a way to win this thing in Chicago tonight, but it means nothing unless they win a Super Bowl. The stakes are this high for Jason Garrett. He must win, period. He was in a must-win game last week and the Bills showed up and beat the brakes off them. That game was ugly, the Cowboys were ugly, and this week is the last stand for the team as well as Garrett.

Football Betting – How to Betting Late Season NFL Games

Garrett has one shot, ok… possibly two shots, the first would be to make it to the NFC Championship game and lose by one point with the clock showing zero. The second shot would be to win a Super Bowl/possibly lose—depending on the “ugly factor”.

For the Cowboys, this game is made or break time. They must win this game, they have to move up to a 7-6 record, not 6-7. Garrett knows the X’s and O’s; however, it seems as if he’s lost any fire to win. He must find that fire tonight or he can expect to not be invited back next season and possibly see an early exit this season.

The Bears are playing better, and they found their much-needed offense last week. Going into Soldier Field this time of the year and coming away with a road victory is a difficult task.

Trubisky has struggled this season and this is a huge problem for the Bears future. The Bears are not making the playoffs this year. What they must do now is the little things to find victories, use Montgomery against a team that’s allowing 98 PPG on the ground, give Trubisky a chance to go down the field and use his arm, play “check-downs” to the bone, make the most of every opportunity and they will compete.

The Bears want this one at home and they are riding high after the thanksgiving win. Can they win a game at home against a team that must win, or the head coach is most likely gone? Yes, they can. We like the Bears to hang around and keep this one close and possibly win. Take the +3 and look for a great prop bet on Elliott and both quarterbacks. Call the online bookie and have fun. This game will be entertaining.

NFC Championship Betting – Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers

Any fan knows that the result of a regular season game is meaningless when it comes time to play the NFC Championship. But the San Francisco 49ers’ total annihilation of the Green Bay Packers in Week 12 is hard to overlook. Sure, the Pack hasn’t lost since that 37-8 setback, beating the Niners’ nemesis Seattle last week in the Divisional Round to advance to the conference title tilt in its first postseason appearance in three years. The Niners caged Aaron Rodgers and allowed very little in that November cover victory. Can Rodgers work some of his postseason magic against the heavily favored hosts on Sunday?
