Despite suffering their first loss of the season, the Los Angeles Rams remain the favorite of oddsmakers at BookMaker.eu to win Super Bowl LIII. But the gap has been shortened by the New Orleans Saints, who administered that loss and won their seventh straight game in an epic Week 9 battle of NFC heavyweights. The AFC has two top picks in the Patriots and Chiefs, who have clearly been the class of that conference all season.

A few teams have improved their odds over the past several weeks with the Steelers moving to +1000 on the odds board after winning three straight games. The Chargers have also proven to be a top contender and sit at +1500. The Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers both made strides up the odds board with the help of lengthy win streaks. Meanwhile, Green Bay and Baltimore are trending in the opposite direction. Both teams fell below .500 with the Ravens losing three in a row and the Packers dropping two straight.

Here’s a look at the current Super Bowl LII odds at BookMaker.eu after Week 98 of the 2018 NFL regular season.

With four favorites standing out from the rest of the pack, BookMaker.eu has now opened up wagers on those teams to NOT win the Super Bowl. Of course you can still throw down some coin on the team you think has a shot at hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in early February with the betting window always open. Placing a wager on a team to come up short of the ultimate goal has a much higher probability rate therefore the odds are longer on every team.

Oddsmakers weren’t scared away from the Rams after they lost for the first time. LA showed some grit on the road coming back from a big deficit to tie the Saints before eventually bowing. The comeback was nice, but falling behind by 21 points to the Saints in the first half was alarming. This was a huge game with the Saints grabbing the first tie-breaker by virtue of their victory. It looks like the road to Super Bowl LIII in the NFC will run through the Big Easy.

There’s no arguing that the Chiefs have a championship-caliber offense led by Patrick Mahomes, who has thrown 29 touchdown passes to lead the NFL by six over the next closest player. The question is whether or not KC’s defense is good enough. The same can be said about the Patriots, who will always be a contender with Tom Brady calling the shots.

Every team has flaws and as we get to the second half of the season we’ll see if the contenders can fix theirs. Some teams have made adjustments, including the Steelers, who look like they’re ready to compete with New England. The Steelers were denied a trip to the AFC Championship last season and their defense has come around after a sloppy opening to the year.

Keep an eye on the Falcons, a team that would have a big payday if they should win the title. They’ve worked past some key injuries and the potent offense appears to be clicking at the right time. And nobody’s talking about the defending champion Eagles, who have given way to the Saints and Rams in the NFC. They have value now at +2500, as do the Texans, who have rattled off straight wins and look to be getting stronger. Deshaun Watson is playing at a high level, the defense has a bunch of studs, and luck might be on their side after they escaped Denver on Sunday after a missed field goal gave them the victory.
