The Utah Jazz bounced back from a series opening loss by stealing home court advantage with a Game 3 win. They can take a commanding lead over the Memphis Grizzlies with a win Monday night in Game 4 of their Western Conference first-round matchup. Utah got a lift from former Griz player Mike Conley, who returned to his old stomping grounds to drop 27 points in the 121-111 payout on Saturday. The Jazz offense has been surging since the return of leading scorer Donovan Mitchell averaging 131 points in the last two victories with the teams cashing the OVER in all three contests. The Jazz hit the board as a 5-point favorite going 4-1 ATS in their last five outings.  Bookmaker.eu offers a generous welcome bonus (max bonus $1600)

Odds Analysis

The Jazz did what they do best to take a 2-1 series lead. They shot the ball well sinking 49 percent of their shots and made 19 three-pointers in Saturday’s 121-111 win. They covered the 5.5-point closing line for their second straight payout. As the team with the NBA’s best record during the regular season the Jazz are used to playing as the favorite and they’ve been good to backers in that role going 41-28-1 ATS when laying points. They are giving up 5-points on the Game 4 opening line. Looking to avoid a massive deficit in the series the Grizzlies will need to pull out all the stops. They surprised everyone in Game 1 with a 112-109 triumph taking advantage of the Jazz without Mitchell. That win was their first in the last nine meetings with Utah, though the Griz are 6-3 ATS in that stretch. The Griz could have had a better record this season if they played better on their home floor. They went just 18-18 during the regular season.

Utah Jazz

The Jazz were one of the top offensive clubs during the regular season and they’ve turned on the juice in the last two games. They ranked fourth in scoring during the regular season with over 116 points per game and shot the three-pointer with reckless abandon. The loss in Game 1 had plenty to do with Mitchell sitting out and a week off between games. They got their legs and romped to a 141-129 win in Game 2 covering the 10-point spread. Mitchell played just under 26 minutes in his return scoring 25 points and infused energy into the group. Seven players reached double figures and the Jazz shot 54 percent from the field and 49 percent from behind the arc.

With an average of 16.7 made three-pointers per game during the regular season, the Jazz haven’t changed their MO. They made 19 three-pointers in Game 3 hitting that number for a second straight game while making 46.3 percent from behind the arc in those contests. Mitchell was just 2 of 10 from deep on Saturday but he opened things up for his teammates, who made a number of clutch buckets in the fourth quarter. “When you have a guy that has that much belief i his teammates and that competitive fire, you know he’s going to make some things happen,” Quin Snyder said of Mitchell, who’s averaging 27 points in two games.

Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies are going to play like they have nothing to lose because, well, they have nothing to lose. Stealing Game 1 was big for them and the young core, but they poked the bear and now have to stand and fight. The 10-point loss on Saturday is a bit misleading. The Griz led by a bucket with less than five minutes to play but were outscored 14-2 to close the game. They made mistakes a young team makes in a crucial playoff game leading to the setback.

Despite losing five of six games to Utah this season, the Griz have held their own. Two regular season defeats came by a total of seven points and they were in Game 3 until folding in the final minutes. The Griz snared 16 offensive rebounds on Saturday leading to 19 more field goal attempts, but they couldn’t convert on the extra shots making only three more than the visitors. “We’ve got to be ready to come in and play desperate. We’re down 2-1 and we’ve got to find a way to scrap out a win on our home floor,” Dillon Brooks said.

Bet Jazz at Grizzlies at BookMaker.eu

The Jazz showed why they were the best team in the NBA the last two contests with decisive payout wins. Getting Mitchell back for Game 2 was a headliner, but having Conley perform at his former All-Star level is huge. There are plenty of offensive threats on the floor with the OVER going 3-0 in the first three games and 7-1 in the past eight. The points will keep flowing in favor of the visitors once again.

NBA Score Prediction: Jazz 119, Grizzlies 111
